Ya Basta! - Happy Hispanic Heritage Month!
Ya Basta!
Wishing you a Happy Hispanic Heritage Month!
In 1966, Ronald Reagan adopted the phrase “Ya Basta!” to court Mexican American Democrats to his race to be Governor of California. The rallying cry means “Enough Already!” in Spanish and spoke to those Hispanics during that election. Reagan trounced his opponent in that election thanks to Hispanics. Now is the time for another “Ya Basta!” moment for our party.
“Now is the time for another “Ya Basta!” moment for our party. ”
As Hispanics face record unemployment, runaway inflation, consistent attacks on their strong family values, and an America that seems to be in decline, all while seeing their brothers and sisters suffer amidst an unprecedented crisis at our borders, I invite Hispanics across the nation to tell the Democratic Party who takes you for granted, “Ya Basta!” and join the Republican Party today.
There is no better time than now to add your voices, opinions, experiences and culture to the Republican Party. The Republican Party is the party of infinite prosperity for your family, increased individual responsibility, strong small businesses, lower taxes, more religious freedom, more school choice, and less government invasion of your life. You are key to the future of the United States and our party is ready to fight for your family, your freedom, and your future. You belong here. Make the switch today.
To commemorate Hispanic Heritage Month, I created some “Ya Basta!” merch.
Hope you like it!
(Don’t forget all merch is sold at 0% profit!)
Hispanic Republicans have played a key role in the destiny of the Republican Party. I wrote about it in my book review of The Hispanic Republican by Geraldo Cadava that you can read by clicking here.
Some organizations are making headway in Hispanic communities through solid community outreach and honest conversations. I talk about it with Ronnie Najarro, head of Americans for Prosperity - Nevada in my latest Ten with Ken interview here.
